In support of Sail Aid UK

It’s time to put your thoughts into words and send in your nominations for 2017’s Wight Vodka Favourite Yachting Bar competition! Now in its ninth year, this competition is now open! We are now accepting nominations and welcome your stories, drink recipes and memories.

This is a special year for yachties and the bars they love. Many of the world's greatest ones have suffered unthinkable hardship and devastation from hurricanes throughout the Caribbean.

To honour those establishments that have been hard hit, some of which may not soon return, we will present TWO awards this year:

This includes bars both open and closed at this time.

This category is for currently operating establishments. Where you can go and personally celebrate their nomination or victory.

For generations the Caribbean has been a home away from home for the United Kingdom's sailing industry. Building an economy and infrastructure around tourism and the hosting of sailors and their events and regattas.

Now after decades of helping to build and strengthen our community, Sail Aid UK and some of Britain's most well known sailors want to help rebuild theirs.

From all of the submissions, the team at Wight Vodka will choose the top 10 bars which are put forward for the online voting from Saturday the 16th December to Friday the 29th December. We announce the winners on the 31st December and similar to years past, the Wight Vodka crew calls each of the winning bars on New Year’s Eve to congratulate them! It’s a great occasion to ring in the New Year and may the best bar win!

50° North are the creators of Wight Vodka. The company’s spirit and enthusiasm for the ocean, coupled with the centuries-old regatta traditions of the Isle of Wight (and of course a full appreciation of superior vodka!) culminated in the creation of the world’s smoothest, 42% ABV potato-based vodka.

One sip of Wight Vodka will make a believer out of the most discerning connoisseur, and the company welcomes your joining a unique and elite class.
