Could this be it? Could the Cup stay in NZ?
At this evening's press conference Peter Burling made no secret of the fact that they knew how fortunate they had been to get back into the race and while he acknowledged the Herculean effort his grinders had made to keep the boat on the boil his comment, "Better to be lucky than good," said it all.

Spithill on the other hand is now in his 'Pitbull' element and was more animated this evening than we've seen him for a while. If there's one person that can rally the troops it will be him.

Plus, the fact is that while the Kiwis will be delighted that they have taken a two race march, the reality is that they were beaten twice in the start by a team that has as a slippery boat.

So, the Cup is within grasp, but will it happen tomorrow? Who knows.

This morning (Monday) Tuesday was forecast to be the windiest of the week, now it's set to be a vacuum.

37th Primo Cup - Trophee Credit Suisse
Competitors enjoyed six races for the 37th Primo Cup-Trophee Credit Suisse. Only members present in the Principality could take part due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the latest government guidelines. As every year, thanks to the loyal support of long-time partner SLAM, the first three teams in each class won garments from the technical clothing range of this Italian supplier. Varying conditions spiced up the contests with a 6-7 knot easterly on the Friday blowing up to 25 knots on the Saturday before fading away on Sunday.

For three days, the J/70 and Smeralda 888 fleets fought some worthy battles on the Monaco race area.

In the J/70 fleet of 20 boats, the men with Giangiacomo Serena di Lapigio (G-Spot) will have left no room for doubt that they mean business and gave a tough field a hard time. At the end of six races, they won by two points ahead of Ludovico Fassitelli (Junda-Sumus Capital) and Loïc Pompee (Sailing Racing Team). The young racers from the YCM's Sports Section were also on the start, racing among the pros. Jeremy Moutout (YCM Lokomotiv) and his comrades came 8th while the youngest team on Joptimist, with an average age of 11-13, were a respectable 15th. In the Corinthian (amateur) category, victory went to Cesare Gabasio (Tinnj70) followed by Stefano Roberti (Piccinina).

In the Smeralda 888 fleet of nine boats, class President Charles de Bourbon des Deux-Siciles (Vamos mi Amor) clinched victory by a whisker from Timofey Sukhotin (Beda), with Francesco Vauban on Botta Dritta completing the podium.

Petticrows Boatyard will be relocating to Cascais, Portugal during March 2021.

With the UK leaving the EU we fell it is essential to ensure trouble free and continued easy purchase of New Dragons, used Dragons and Dragon accessories from Petticrows.

This move will enable us to achieve it and provide improved service to the Dragon Fleet.

2020 has been a difficult year for all our valued customers. We hope that during 2021 the COVID situation will improve and we will all return to enjoying ourselves on the water, with our friends, both at home and at the fantastic Dragon class racing circuit.

The relocation will ensure Petticrows is well placed to service the fleet efficiently when we are able to get back on the water this season and beyond.

After more than 30 years based in Burnham on Crouch in the UK, it is without doubt a big change, but presents a very positive opportunity for the company and will integrate some new personnel, ideas and enthusiasm with our existing quality and reliability.

Tim Tavinor will continue to be involved overseeing the production and will be continuing to race the Dragon on the regatta circuit.

Petticrows Portugal team will count with the familiar face of Pedro Rebelo de Andrade and with his extensive experience in Dragon sailing.

Pedro is joined by Henrique who will take care of the operation in Cascais.

The existing UK contact details will still be in operation for some time so please call or e-mail with any questions or concerns over this move.

Sweden's Värmdö Municipality is building a new marina at Stavsnäs Vinterhamn to accommodate the growing demand for berths in the Swedish archipelago.

Phase One of construction has already started, with an SF Marina floating concrete breakwater and walkway transforming the setting into a hub of yachting activity.

WM-Bommen fingers from 6m to 10m long accommodate a wide range of boats at the 70-slip facility. The main walkway has integrated ducts that feed the El-Björn power pedestals; slips also feature freshwater hook-ups and free WiFi.

The breakwater and walkway were built at SF Marina's Wallhamn, Sweden facility and transported to the site by barge. Because of their modular design, installation is said to be faster than traditional wooden or poured concrete structures.

Stavsnäs Vinterhamn is an important public and freight transportation hub between the Swedish mainland and the archipelago islands. The new recreational marina features a pump-out, harbour office, store, repair centre, shower facilities and increased parking area with residential housing planned.

Phase Two of the marina project will begin in spring 2022.

The current health situation and the difficulties connected with travel in Europe make the beginning of the 2021 nautical season a little unusual. Be that as it may, people will want to visit boats and the desire to cast off has never been quite so strong. In this context, Beneteau and its network of dealers have taken steps to meet sailors throughout Europe. The Beneteau Roadshow will cross 7 countries from the North to the South from 1st April to 20 June 2021 and visits and private sea trials will be organized.

From early April, two tours will be launched simultaneously in the north and south of Europe, with the aim of visiting key European boating areas. In northern Europe, the roadshow will cross Scandinavia, the Baltic Sea, the North Sea and the English Channel, while in southern Europe it will stop off on the Mediterranean Sea and on the Atlantic Ocean.

Access to the boats shown for private visits - with possible trials depending on the ports - will be by appointment only and will comply with local protective measures.

BWA Yachting and A1 Group have recently signed a memorandum of understanding for the A1 yacht agency, its technical and provisioning networks throughout Greece to integrate them under the BWA Yachting banner by year-end.

The 2021 season will be an interim season. 2022 will see a fully integrated Greek presence in the BWA Yachting panoply. During this year, all services will be offered as usual with improvements being scheduled as always. The A1 Group will continue to thrive and will work with BWA Yachting to ensure that they both singly and together they continue to offer ever-improving services to their clients.

BWA Yachting and the A1 Group have long enjoyed the best of relationships, working together as affiliates and sharing knowledge between the two, so natural progression has almost dictated the move. Indeed, BWA Yachting may not have existed at all, had it not been for then A1 Yacht Trade Consortium being one of the co-founders and major shareholders along with the Italian Luise Group.
